The last time I went to Chicago it was to see RUN DMC, the Dodos, Bon Iver, The Hold Steady, and more at Pitchfork Festival in...2008? Yikes. It was a fantastic city, despite the fact that someone tried to steal our bikes. Two words for people who plan on visiting and have a night off: The Hideout.
Anyway, as it turns out I've booked a last-minute trip to the American Historical Association annual conference coming up in early January, which will give me the opportunity to experience my first real winter since leaving Montreal.
Do I know anyone who will be there? Possibly? Get in touch if you'll be around and want to hang out.
